Best $G provider
Is there any consensus about which mobile phone provider gives the best coverage on the canals?

I am about to give up work and set off cruising the canals for 18 months or so.  What phone provider IN YOUR EXPERIENCE is the best for 4G coverage on the canal and river system.  I seem to recall Paul recommending EE but 3 also get a lot of mentions. O2 and Vodaphone seem to be out of the reckoning.

You’ll be lucky to get 4G coverage on much of the system Ian. Yes, I found EE to be pretty good. Their phone signal was much better than EE, but I found that the Three dongle I used had far better and more reliable internet connectivity than EE. In fact, I often used a WiFi connection to my Three dongle to make phone calls via WiFi calling when I couldn’t get an EE signal. Either that, or I just used Skype to make my calls.

Why do you want 4G cover on the network?
