Hi Paul and all subscribers

My name is Beth and during the summer (I know stupid time to buy), Mark my husband and I intend to buy a narrow boat. This has been in the planning for the last three years, now things are happening as have just bought and have in situ our new and lined container to take the stuff from 57 years of gathering. Don’t worry have given away and thrown away plenty of junk!

I am a registered nurse and will be retiring February 28th as have had enough! Mark is into computers, phones and ReBoundTag a luggage Tag accepted by all major airports. Enough info, we have holidayed on narrow bots for the past few years and really love the experience as does our gorgeous dog Basil. WE are not totally mad I have researched every tiny thing and we do appreciate the very large step we are taking. 

The next weeks annual life I have we are buying a Motor home to wander around the UK in. This will make it easier to search for and check out each brokeridge, also look at marinas as on the odd occasion may have need of one. We will be moving out of our cottage end of March and will be becoming nomads, really can’t wait.

Mark and I are looking for a 57 to 60 foot boat as wish to cruise as much of the canal network as possible. We want to be continuous cruisers and having read your Living On A Narrow Boat 101 Articles and studied the budget guide, I put in all our expenses, shocked my husband as he didn’t realise how much it would cost. It hasn’t put us off, more like inspired us. So this year will have it’s ups and downs but so looking forward to travelling so that we can really appreciate our lovely countryside.
