Hello, Graham here, one half of Graham and Jo. We bought our boat 5 and a bit years ago. it is moored at Calcutt. I retired a few years ago, not by choice but because the medics said so, they are trying to stop my eyesight going phut!. We have kept a house and use the boat for holidays and, sometimes, as a base as daughter lives near the boat.

This is us after successfully reversing into our old mooring. This one is a bit hard ‘cos someone put an island in the way. The new one has a straight run in.

This is our boat Dotterel (and Jo)

Hi Graham,

What a small world. Calcutt is where I am of course. And don’t knock the island. It’s a beautiful island. Did you know that there are 89 trees on it including eleven poplar? It’s going to look a treat in ten years time.

How often are you on the boat? I don’t think I’ve seen you around much.

Yes it is nice and now I don’t have to avoid it it’s even nicer! We are moored near the car park and so approach the mooring round the island past your boat and then down back towards the car park.  I’m up there every few weeks sometimes for  the day and sometimes for a night or two. We take it out 4 or 5 times a year.  We have spoken to each other and I do see you every now and then driving the blue truck.

Cheers Graham
