Hi all. Well I’m very pleased to say I have now bought my first narrow boat. Well chuffed!!!

My question to anyone that can help is.

I’m not a short guy by a long shot. And I’m looking to fit a sliding door hatch above my stern door. Firstly Am I calling it the right thing? As I can’t seam to find anything online to buy.

Secondly. On a DIY level are they hard to fit. I’m a builder gardener by trade, so very handy with all sorts.

Regards Richard

Talk to Martin. He makes a whole range of steel bits for boats. One of our side hatches made by him, hole cut in the side and slotted in.

Living retirement in the slow lane.

20 years hiring, 6 years of shared ownership and a Continuous Cruiser since 2007 but still learning!
