Hi, I am looking for other people’s experiences on how they converted from house living to Narrowboat life. I, like many others of my generation, haven’t managed to get my foot on the property ladder and the cost of running a house as a tenant is extortionate. It feels like a trap, I am in the process of sorting out finances to free up some of my cash for purchasing a boat. It just seems too far off. I am considering getting a project boat that will need work but is at a much cheaper price, but this is daunting as I am worried that I might end up purchasing a lost cause and £6000> will sink to the bottom of the canal before renovations even start. Does anyone on here have any advice on buying a project boat?
