OfflineHi,
I've never owned or lived on a boat before but want to be livingaboard soon. I wandered if anyone might know of any good stretches of water to live aboard in either Norfolk of Suffolk? I know that the Norfolk Broads authorities are not liveaboard friendly and there are'nt many (if any) canals in those 2 counties. But what about the big tidal rivers – the Yare, the Stour, the Orwell etc and the esturies? Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Matt

OfflineI'm a bit out of my depth here. I don't know much about the Broads moorings other than Brundall Bay marina offers morrings for 300 boats. I don't know if any of them are liveaboards though. I'll ask around for you.

OfflineThanks for asking around. I've been to Brundall Marina and although I'm not certain, I've got a funny feeling they don't allow liveaboards. I never saw any sign of any when I was there.. I was in Colchester, Essex not so long ago (am now in Manchester for a short time) and there were some folks living on big East Coast barges on the tidal river and on the coast. There must be some liveaboards nearby in Suffolk/Norfolk but I need to find out more. I might decide that the inland waterways on a narrowboat is the better option. Have'nt come to a definate decision yet.
Thanks for your help
Matt
